A strong force of firefighters rushed to the scene, and the firefighting efforts began shortly after midnight. Private divers were also present at the site to check for any pollution.
The Coast Guard rescued 10 people from the dock, who had gone for a walk and were unable to return to Marina Zeas due to the fire.

Ten vehicles with 26 firefighters, three Coast Guard boats, and a fireboat remain on site and are conducting operations.
The fire broke out on one of the boats and then spread, with explosions reported.
According to reports, one of the three boats is a commercial tourist vessel. There is no information about anyone being trapped inside the boats.
