A fire in a building in Guia, municipality of Pombal, early Saturday night, forced the evacuation of 15 people and left three people homeless, a Civil Protection source told Lusa.
According to the Subregional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Leiria Region, the alert for a housing fire in Travessa das Flores, in the village of Guia, was received at around 10:11 pm on Saturday.
Civil Protection explained that the fire, which started in the attic of the building, caused damage to two apartments.

A GNR source from Guia told Lusa that the evacuees spent the night at their family’s house.
There were 17 operatives on site supported by seven vehicles, from the Pombal Fire Department, the Guia GNR and the Guia Parish Council.
