A fire that broke out today around noon in the area of the bride’s village of Tsarvaritsa is visible from Blagoevgrad and thick clouds of smoke are rising near the town. The affected area is over 1,000 acres, burning dry grasses and coniferous forest.

In some places, the fire is at its peak, teams of the fire department, forestry and volunteers are on site.
Several uninhabited houses were burnt. For now, there is no danger to the people in the nearby villages. Bulldozers make clearings to contain the fire.
