Tegucigalpa, Honduras.- The energy minister and manager of the National Electric Power Company (ENEE)Erick Tejada, announced that a distribution failure caused the fire in the substation located in the Cabañas neighborhood of the city of Comayagua.
In the morning hours of this Saturday there was an explosion that caused large flames in the substation of the ENEE in Comayagua.
As a result of what happened, the entire department was left without the energy service, and two adjoining departments also suffered blackouts. The authorities affirm that trained personnel are already working in the place to restore the electrical flow.
Through his social networks, Minister Tejada reported that, “Distribution failure caused a fire in the Comayagua substation. Detail of the fire brigade

Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control within 25 minutesand then proceeded with the cooling that lasted at least 20 minutes.
