A fire on vacant land worried the residents of the Bariloche condominium in Vila Carlota, in Campo Grande. The fire started around 3pm this Thursday (22), and it can be seen over the wall of the building.
Beauty Larissa Almeida, 27, said she was at her mother’s house when the fire started. The young woman reports that the flames rose and smoke from the fire came into the apartments.
“Everyone in the condominium group is very worried, because the fire could be seen over the wall. There is smoke in all the flats, but they seem to be quieter now,” he said.
Regarding the report, Catarina Lima, 68 years old, said that out of the 44 years she has lived in the area, this is the second time she has seen the land on fire “With the dry weather, the wind, everything is something suitable for this fire. I don’t know if it’s on purpose, if someone sets the fire, but anything makes it easier”, he said.
Another resident, Glaucia Pereira, 39 years old, says the flames spread quickly due to the wind and dry grass. “The fire was approaching the condominiums, a team of firefighters came and controlled it here on Rua Flávio de Matos and they left.”
