Fire on the high-voltage pylon led to a power outage in Pinkafeld

A fire on a high-voltage pylon led to a power outage in parts of Pinkafeld (Oberwart district) on Christmas day in the afternoon hours. The city fire brigade was also in action, as was the Energie Burgenland emergency service.

According to FF Pinkafeld, which was deployed with 20 emergency services, a conductor of a high-voltage cable on a wooden pole caught fire. The cause was not clear for the time being. After the power had been turned off and Energie Burgenland gave the fire department chief of operations the green light, the fire fighting attack was started.
