Through a press release published on the evening of Monday, July 24, the Guinean Football Federation, led by a Standardization Committee (CONOR), announced the dismissal of Morlaye Cissé, coach of Syli Espoir and all his staff. On its official website, Feguifoot justifies that the dismissed “are relieved of their duties for failure to achieve the objectives set by the Standardization Committee”. In the same document, the governing body of Guinean football revealed the name of Morlaye Cissé’s replacement, in the person of Charly Paquile. The latter was previously assistant to Kaba Diawara, the coach of Syli national senior, whose performance should also challenge the leaders of Guinean football.
The former Syli Espoir coach said he was “surprised and disappointed”, but took note and complied with Conor’s decision. “They are the ones who manage the day-to-day affairs of Guinean football at the moment, so we have to accept their decisions. Naturally like any human being, I am surprised by this decision, ”reacts Morlaye Cissé to our colleague Sport-Guinean. The Guinean technician calls on his former foals to play the play-off matches with the same energy to snatch a qualifying ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: “It’s up to them to continue to have fun as we did during this CAN in Morocco” .
It should be noted that the mandate of Conor ends no later than September 30, in accordance with the conclusions of the last Extraordinary General Assembly which allowed the unanimous adoption of the new statutes of Féguifoot.
