The body of a man aged around 30 was found on the shore of Guaíba, which is facing a period of great flooding due to the rains that hit Rio Grande do Sul. On the morning of this Wednesday (27), the waters came to invade the edge.

According to the Fire Department, the man was naked and did not carry any documents, and was found on Avenida Presidente João Goulart, close to Cais Mauá, a tourist attraction in Porto Alegre. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), this is the wettest September in the city of Porto Alegre since 1916, when regular measurements began. Until Tuesday (26), Inmet had recorded 413.8 mm of rain in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The number represents almost triple the city’s normal average rainfall for the month of September, which is approximately 148 mm. The weather is still expected to remain unstable in RS this week.
