The Rio de Janeiro Fire Department found, this Sunday morning, the 12th, around 9 am, the two bodies that were still missing after the sinking of a trawler that occurred in Guanabara Bay near Paquetá Island, on the last day 5. According to firefighters, the bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).

The day after the accident, six bodies were removed from Guanabara Bay, but one woman and a 14-year-old teenager were still missing.

The trawler was carrying a group of 14 people, including friends and relatives, and was returning from a trip to Paquetá, when it was surprised by a storm with strong winds.

The vessel capsized. At the time, six people were rescued alive by a boat that was passing through the region at the time of the accident and taken to the 19th Group of Firefighters, on Ilha do Governador, where they received first aid.

The Port Authority of Rio de Janeiro instituted an internal procedure to determine the causes, circumstances and responsibilities for the accident, but so far nothing has been disclosed.
