Very close to La Mexicana Parknorth of the Mexican capital in Cuajimalpa de Morelos, the incident began in grasslands near Lomas de Santa Fe, generating alarm among residents of the capital in the area.
Elements of the Heroic Fire Department and the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection have already arrived at the dry grass site in José Villagrán, which in fact ruled out risks for the population or nearby properties.
The fire, which can be seen from different points in the corporate area of Santa Fe, has caused concern among the population and environmental authorities.
In this sense, the CDMX Atmospheric Monitoring System issued an alert due to the burning smell that has spread throughout the capital and the State of Mexico, a consequence of the smoke emanating from the forest fires.
The authorities have warned that the smell of burning could persist throughout the day, both in the mayor’s offices of Mexico City and in the municipalities that make up the metropolitan region of the State of Mexico.
