Organized by «Archeologia Viva» magazine, the fifth edition of the Festival of Archaeology, Art and Environment awarded the documentary on the theft of the Etruscan chariot of Monteleone di Spoleto, now kept at the MET in New York

The audience present at the 5th edition of «Firenze Archeofilm», the Festival of Archaeology, Art and Environment held at the cinema La Compagnia in Florence, had no doubts in decreeing «L’anello di Grace» as the best documentary among those in competition , the film-complaint by Dario Prosperini dedicated to the adventurous theft of the Etruscan chariot of Monteleone di Spoleto. This film is a tribute to our stolen heritage, an extreme attempt to graciously attract the attention of the authorities in charge and finally heal a wound that still moves and generates disbelief today». In addition to the award, however, there is other good news for the director. “The Ministry of Culture has officially requested a copy of the film and Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano has made himself available to reopen the Interministerial Commission on the case,” concluded Prosperini.

Organized by the magazine «Archeologia Viva», the festival then awarded the University of Florence prize to the documentary «Uzbekistan, a timeless journey in Central Asia» by Jivko Darakchiev and the UniFi Student prize to «Le Pietre e le Parole. Portrait of Raniero Gnoli» by Adriano Aymonino. The jury of the Florentine Museum and Institute of Prehistory prize chose «Neanderthal» as the best prehistoric archeology film, while the Archeologia Viva prize was awarded to Stéphane Millière for Gedeon Programmes.
