A fire destroyed a residential square in the Bronx, New York, due to strong winds that reached speeds between 20 and 30 miles per hour, leaving 7 people injured.

According to the American media, the fire consumed a residential square containing more than 150 apartments, shortly after a similar fire was seen in California.
The New York Fire Department confirmed that approximately 200 firefighters are participating in efforts to control the fire.
Video clips circulated showed flames and plumes of smoke rising from fire-damaged buildings.
The administration explained that there were between 150 and 160 residential apartments in the damaged buildings, and as a result of the fire five firefighters and two civilians were injured.
