Firozabad: The ADO Panchayat of Hathwant Block of Firozabad in UP was arrested red handed by the Vigilance team from Agra while taking a bribe of 60 thousand rupees. The ADO Panchayat had demanded money from the contractor in the name of advancing the file of the cremation ground. The contractor had complained about the ADO Panchayat to the Vigilance team. On the basis of this, the team has arrested the ADO Panchayat taking bribe as per the plan.
Rohit Kumar son of Laalta Prasad resident of Indrapuri Shamshabad Road Thana Tajganj Agra has a registered firm in the name of RK Construction. The firm is working in the Panchayats of Vikas Khand Hathwant Firozabad, through them a file application was filed to get the money sanctioned for the construction of the cremation ground. To take it forward, Hathwant Block’s ADO Panchayat Rakhpal Singh had demanded a bribe of 60 thousand rupees. The contractor had complained about the bribe in Agra Vigilance Office.
The vigilance team had laid a trap
On the basis of the complaint, the vigilance team reached the block on Thursday. The team handed over the chemical-coated Rs 60,000 to the concerned youth and sent team members along with him. As soon as the ADO Panchayat held the bribe money in his hand, the vigilance team that came from behind caught the ADO red-handed. After making him wash his hands with the chemical, the team arrested the ADO Panchayat and took him out of the block and left for Agra in cars.
