Of course, you can save a lot of baking and cooking time by ordering the food for the festive table, according to most of the respondents, they still bake and cook at home because it is cheaper than buying ready-made dishes, but according to two-thirds of the respondents, it still costs more then the feast like last year. Cooking food at home is also important for those who struggle with food sensitivities or diabetes, even though there are already alternatives for them, but they still feel that if they prepare the meals themselves, they can be sure of the composition of the food. In addition, meals and cakes made with special ingredients or for sensitive people are significantly more expensive.
Fried meat also appears among the festive dishes.
Stuffed cabbage turned out to be the most popular of the traditional christmas main dishes: almost half of the respondents said that this dish should not be missing from the festive menu.
- Deep-fried meat was ranked among the christmas favorites by more than a third of the respondents, so it finished in 2nd place,
- ahead of fish soup and fried fish by a hair.

During the research, Rama’s research also asked how much of the holiday menu could be made per person. Most people, i.e.half of the respondents, calculate between HUF 2,000-5,000,but the group of those who calculate with a higher value is not much smaller either. According to two-thirds of the respondents, this amount is higher than last year, but the majority of them feel only a modest increase in costs. One thing is for sure, the festive meal spent at the common table is very important to almost every family. It strengthens togetherness and makes family ties closer. gifts do not replace family relationships, and it is not a solution if we do not consider our strength and financial situation when preparing for festive baking and cooking.
