The Regional Government of La Araucanía together with CMPC and the Champs Racing team brought this sporting event to the Region, which will continue in the communes of Loncoche and Temuco.
With more than 100 participants, the first date of the downhill competition was held “Araucanía Regional Championship”which was organized by the team of Champs Racing and supported by the Regional Government, through the Corporation develops Araucaníaand which also has the collaboration of CMPC through its network of parks “Living Forest”the place where this innovative MTB festival took place, which promises to become an important event for mountain biking enthusiasts in the region.
The Governor Luciano Rivashighlighted this colpublic-private partnership to promote sport in the Region because “this is a true celebration of sport and families. We are very pleased to be able to support these activities that bring together children and young people who are dedicated to mountain biking, but also, A space is created for entrepreneurs from the area, who show their products to the public, who come not only from the region, but from all over the country. This is the focus on which we have worked these last three years as a Regional Government, generating meaningful investment that has allowed us to boost entrepreneurship and productive development and strengthen regional economic development, which we know is essential to boost our Araucanía.”
“Through the Bosque Vivo project and its network of parks, along with promoting the appreciation of the ecosystem services of forests and productive plantations, we seek to make outdoor activities increasingly appreciated. Thus, the event held this weekend at CMPC Junquillar Park shows us the interest of people and athletes in participating in this type of event that allows them to connect with nature,” said CMPC’s Deputy Manager of Territorial Relations, Gustavo Apablaza.
