by time news

The state-owned combat systems company Rafael will distribute a dividend of NIS 206 million to the state, Calcalist has learned.

Rafael’s board of directors decided today (Thursday) on the distribution of the dividend following negotiations with the Companies Authority.

Recently, the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, instructed the director of the Companies Authority, Michal Rosenbaum, to act to distribute NIS 1 billion in dividends from government companies. Raphael is the first of them and the first government company in Lieberman’s term to distribute dividends.

Rafael distributed a dividend of NIS 425 million in 2019, following the acquisition of Aeronautics together with businessman Avichai Stolro. The company is managed by Yoav Har Even and is chaired by Uzi Landau.

More government companies are expected to soon announce dividends to the state, which holds full ownership of their shares.
