first draws for the ticket office

by time news

The first draw for the ticket office for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games begins this Monday, February 13 and runs until March 15. During this first phase of the draw, those who had registered on the official ticket office can hope to be drawn by lot. The lucky ones will then have a 48-hour window to buy “tailor-made packages”that is to say the choice of three sessions among all the sports of the Olympic programme.

Winners will have the opportunity to purchase up to 30 tickets per account, i.e. 10 three-session packs, for prices ranging from €24 to €690 in disciplines such as rowing, boxing, fencing, wrestling, swimming, skateboarding or archery. The most expensive rates are for athletics competitions.

The members of the “Club Paris 2024” will benefit from the slots for the first four days, from February 15 to 19, while the rest of the public drawn by lot will be allocated slots from February 19.

A second phase

However, not all tickets will be available from this first stage. Some events, the most anticipated such as the 100m finals in swimming or athletics, or those of basketball, handball, badminton or even boxing and tennis, will not be on sale during this first phase.

A second purchase phase will be open in mid-March, this time with individual tickets, also subject to a draw. This will also concern the provision of places for the most popular Olympic sessions, for example the basketball final or the 100m race.

Second phase in spring

Registration for this second purchase phase will begin “during March 2023”the date still to be specified by Paris 2024. The result of this second draw will be known at the beginning of May and the sale of tickets for eligible persons will open in May.

For those who have not had the chance to be drawn, a last possibility will be offered at the end of the year to try to come to the sites of the Olympic Games, with a final phase of unit sales. In total, nearly 10 million tickets are on sale to attend the event, which will take place next year from July 26 to August 11.
