The hydrogen truck has emerged as a technology with great potential due to its multiple benefits in transport. Let us remember that this element has not been seen very frequently in its gaseous state in this industry, but the Chinese company Hybot has just presented its own concept.

This is a unit whose first deliveries could take place in small batches in 2024, with 2025 being the year in which it would be mass marketed.

Guangzhou-based Hybot has held an event to showcase a vehicle that could change the freight transport sector forever. Its performance is better than the hydrogen fuel cell presented by other manufacturers such as Daimler, so multiple news stories are expected from this brand associated with this innovation. The improvement would translate into a reduction in consumption of up to 20%, a record that would allow reaching 1,000 kilometers for each full tank.

The Hybot is considered the most efficient hydrogen truck in the freight transport industry.

Hybot has reportedly achieved a consumption of eight kilograms of hydrogen per 100 kilometres with the H49, which would significantly improve on what has been achieved by other companies in the sector. In this way, it would only need 80 kilograms of fuel to enjoy the aforementioned journey. Apparently, this record would have been achieved taking into account a load capacity of 49 tons. Even so, there are additional elements that make this model a revolutionary means of transport.

According to Hydrogen Insight, the water generated as waste by the fuel cell can be used by the driver for personal hygiene. The water is stored in a tank to be used as a shower, which would be pumped under pressure by a pressure pump. This proposal would serve as a differentiating element of this system with respect to any other means of transport and technology focused on transport.
