Amazon’s Fallout series set to launch next April, gives a first look

Amazon’s highly anticipated Fallout series is set to launch next April, but fans have already received a sneak peek of what’s to come. A first photo of the show was revealed in Vanity Fair, and now executive producer Todd Howard has spoken about the showrunners’ approach to capturing the spirit of the game.
“We had a lot of conversations about styles of humor, levels of violence, styles of violence,” Howard said. “Fallout can be very dramatic and dark and post-apocalyptic, but you need to weave in a little bit of a wink… I think they thread the needle very well in a TV show.”
For fans of the game, the Fallout show will even have some new lore to dig into. One particular aspect of interest is Vault Boy’s portrait, which will have its own backstory. “This is something they came up with that’s really clever,” Howard told Vanity Fair.
“We think what happens on the show is classic,” he continued. “It’s great when someone else sees your work and then translates it in some way.”
It seems like Todd Howard might even be feeling a little envious of some of the decisions the showrunners have made. “I kind of looked at it like, ‘Ah, why don’t we do this?'” he admitted.
