First lunar exploration of the Arab world; Rashid Chandrayatra tests the spacecraft

Abu Dhabi: The UAE prepares for the first lunar exploration of the Arab world. As part of the mission, Rashid conducted a test flight of the lunar spacecraft.

The experiment was conducted in the desert. The UAE is sending the Rashid spacecraft to the moon with the aim of conducting a comprehensive study of the soil structure on the lunar surface.

Launched for the study of the lunar surface, this small spacecraft was built entirely at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center. The spacecraft is named Rashid in memory of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The project will be launched in 2024.
