Hazaribagh: On Tuesday, in Barka Khurd Panchayat of Ichak block under Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, about 200 people from 67 families ‘returned’ from Christianity to Hinduism. They had converted a few months ago under the influence and temptation of Christian missionaries. In a ritual organized by Sanatan Samaj on Tuesday at the Shiv temple in Barka Khurd, the people who returned to Hinduism were welcomed by washing their feet amid chanting of ‘Om’. Most of the families who returned home belong to the Dalit class and the number of women among them is the highest.
He was called on the pretext of Shiv Charcha and was misled
Acharya Pushpa Shastri of Arsh Kanya Gurukul and 20 girls of the Gurukul conducted the ritual of their return to Sanatan Dharma with due rites and ceremonies. All the people took collective Achman and Yajnopaveet. Many women who returned to Hinduism told that they were first called in the name of Satsang and then they were misled by discussing Jesus on the pretext of Shiv Charcha. They were given money for this.
Accusation of conversion by luring people in the name of healing meeting
Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Hindu organizations say that Christian missionaries are converting families of poor economic status by luring them in the name of healing meetings. After several rounds of meetings between the people who converted to Christianity and the villagers in Barka Khurd Panchayat, people from many families had expressed their desire to return home.
