An intensive polio vaccination camp is conducted every year to eradicate polio in the country. All children under the age of 5 in this camp are given polio drops simultaneously. As a result, there is no polio outbreak in India. It is planned to give polio drops additionally today (Sunday) to all children under the age of 5 to continue this condition.

In this context, a camp to provide polio drops to children in Tamil Nadu started today. The drop-in camp, which began at 7 a.m., runs until 5 p.m.

For this, polio vaccination camps have been set up at 43,051 places. The camp will be held at a total of 43,051 centers including Government Primary Health Centers, Government Hospitals, Anganwadi Centers, Nutrition Centers, Schools and key locations.

Arrangements have been made to provide polio drops to 47.36 lakh children in these centers. It has been reported that the centers are not allowed if there is fever, cough and goiter infection. The Tamil Nadu government has also said that it is necessary to give drops to newborns.

Accordingly, the First Minister M.K. Stalin took part this morning. After this he started the camp by giving drops to the children.

In it, he gave drops to children under the age of 5 and gave them gifts including toys. Healthy children can take the drops in the next few days. Children who are given drops will have ink placed on their fingers. It has been reported that 2 lakh people are involved in the drip dispensing process.
