First possible prices for Ryzen 7000 are observed on the network • HWzone

A Canadian computer store has published pages for the four AMD new generation processors that we expect in the first launch wave – and gives us a reasonable estimate of the planned price increase

With Intel’s announcement of an expected jump of about 15 percent in the price of its processors a few weeks ago, it was natural and logical to assume that AMD would also use the opportunity to increase its prices in order to maintain or even improve its profitability – and this is indeed what we heard from various popular leakers on the network In recent times, when we now also have initial solid numbers that can be used as preparation for anyone who is building a hardware upgrade in the near future.

The familiar Twitter leaker [email protected] presented In his account are screenshots from a Canadian hardware and computer store called PC Canada, where product pages for Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 7 7700X and of course Ryzen 9 7900X and Ryzen 9 7950X processors have already gone live, both in tray configuration without a case and in box configuration with official packaging (including (note that there’s no heatsink whatsoever in them) – including prices that start at CAD$424 for the hexadecimal model and go up to CAD$1,141 for the flagship model with its 16-core Zen 4.

The Canadian online site does not tell us any new technical information about the processors, unfortunately, but the conversion of the prices to US dollars reveals to us a price increase of between 6 percent and about 11 percent compared to the official recommended prices with which the Ryzen 5000 processors were launched in the USA at the end of 2020 – the Ryzen 5 The 7600X priced at US$332 (before tax) will be 10.6 percent more expensive than the Ryzen 5 5600X priced at US$300, the Ryzen 7 7700X at US$480 will be 6 percent more expensive than the Ryzen 7 5800X, the -Ryzen 9 7900X with 12 physical processing cores at 609 US dollars will be 10.7 percent more expensive than its predecessor and the Ryzen 9 7950X which will apparently cost about 893 dollars will be 11.6 percent more expensive than the Ryzen 9 5950X (which today can already be found at base of just under $500 after several rounds of official and unofficial discounting).

Now is the time to declare and clarify that the prices in the online store are not verified by any party, and may be an independent temporary assessment of the company’s representatives that is not necessarily based on any internal information they received from AMD itself. In addition, the prices we presented in the previous paragraph refer to the tray versions that arrive naked, compared to the prices of the official box versions of the previous generation, when a comparison to the prices of the intended box versions of the Ryzen 7000 generation brings another small increase in the price for each One of the models that brings us a little closer to the 15 percent price increase that will reach us in the Raptor Lake generation of Intel later this year.

It is reasonable to estimate that in the coming weeks (and maybe even in the coming days) we will be able to see more stores from all over the world adding the new processors around the corner to their offer ahead of time and giving us another glimpse of their technical characteristics and intended prices – then we will be able to better judge the future of PC Canada, which although aligns well with other general estimates but still deserves to be treated with generous skepticism at this stage.

What do you think about these prices, if indeed they prove correct and accurate? Let’s share in the comments.
