A dog was shot during a robbery at a bar in Irajá, in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro. The 3-year-old golden retriever was hit in the back, underwent surgery and is due to be discharged this Friday (31).
Witnesses said four men got out of a car and announced the robbery. The suspects took cell phones and belongings from the establishment’s customers.
The dog’s tutor told, in an interview with Record TV Riothat the animal is very tame and did not attack the bandits.
“He was on my side. People had already run when they announced the robbery. I was going in with him. The first shot they fired hit him,” said Paulo.
Still according to the tutor, the dog was not seriously injured, but lost a lot of blood. The animal continues to recover at a veterinary clinic and should be given a little party when it returns home.
