First trial before the Kosovo war criminals tribunal begins – Kosovo

The Hague – The trial of a former commander of the Liberation Army of Kosovo (KLA) begins on Wednesday before the special tribunal to prosecute war crimes during the war in Kosovo. Salih Mustafa is charged with the murder of a prisoner and the torture and ill-treatment of at least six civilians captured in the 1998/99 Kosovo war. He is also said to be responsible for arbitrary arrests.
