First working meeting: Defense Minister Galant met with Chief of Staff Kochavi

Defense Minister Yoav Galant met today (Friday) with Chief of Staff R.A. Aviv Kochavi for his first working meeting upon assuming office, at the Defense Minister’s office in Kirya.

At the meeting, Galant was presented with the operational and intelligence situation in all the IDF’s areas of activity. In addition, Galant and Kochavi discussed the issue of building the force and its operation in the various sectors.

The Minister of Defense agreed with the Chief of Staff that priority will be given to the continuation of an orderly overlap procedure for General Herzi Halevi, who is to assume the position of Chief of Staff next month.
