Fiscal voracity mortgages the future of Argentines

The decision of the AFIP to impose more restrictions on the use of dollars for the import of inputs puts the next harvest and the income of foreign currency at risk.

(NAP) The four chains, the main producers of grains (corn, sorghum, wheat, sunflower and soybean), rejected, this Friday, the decision of the national government that restricts the importation of inputs, based on Resolution 5331 of the AFIP

In this sense, the four chains asked the national government to “reconsider this resolution”, because it once again changes the rules of the game, making the cost of a large part of the imports made in the country more expensive.

“As far as our sector is concerned, it will impact higher prices of imported inputs (fertilizers and phytosanitary products) that make up a majority of the production costs of our
crops, as well as various imported inputs required by the machinery we use in the chains,” they stated.

The AFIP’s decision has a tremendous impact on production, which is “in a scenario of an Agro-industrial sector devastated by an unprecedented drought, which the Government claims to be helping.

“We urge those who govern to reconsider this resolution. Otherwise, there will be a future of smaller harvests in volume and quality, more impoverished soils due to fewer applications of
fertilizers, and more obsolete machinery”, closed the four organizations.
