Pesca España, the association formed by some of the most important Fisheries Producer Organizations in our country, has joined the UN Global Compactan initiative that aims foster a fairer and more sustainable global economyand work in collaboration with other actors to achieve a sustainable development.

Antonio Nieto, manager of Pesca España, Cristina Sánchez and Marta Tomás, executive director and director of Corporate Development of the UN Global Compact in Spain, wanted to make the accession official in a meeting in which ideas, challenges and commitments were exchanged to align strategies and operations with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Ten Universal Principles on human rights, labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption. In addition, it marks the beginning of close collaboration to carry out joint initiatives in terms of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
