An operation was carried out at that location in which more than a million pesos were found in suitcases and uniforms, in addition to the weapons, after a GN inspector received a report of the alleged commission of a crime, all of this according to El Universal.

There were 10 members of the National Guard at the facility, but five of them were found with cash and firearms, which had been distributed among them.

The now detained were found to be:

  • Warrant Officer Hector “N” – five thousand dollars
  • Warrant Officer Pedro “N” – a 9mm pistol magazine and a gas pistol
  • Officer Jaime “N” – six thousand pesos
  • Suboficial Nancy “N” – five thousand dollars and three thousand five hundred pesos
  • Warrant Officer Javier “N” – A suitcase (with 30 thousand dollars and 100 thousand pesos) and a gray uniform (with 54 thousand pesos and two thousand 820 dollars)

A bag containing four firearms and a magazine was also found inside the barracks.

The detainees allegedly indicated that the officers did not wear gloves when touching the cash and weapons, and that they did not allow the intervention of a Public Prosecutor’s Office expert.
