Townsville: Australia win the first ODI against Zimbabwe. Townsville lost the toss and elected to bat at the Tony Ireland Stadium. Zimbabwe were all out for 200 in 47.3 overs. In reply, Australia overcame the target with the loss of just five wickets in 33.3 overs.

David Warner is the top scorer for Aussies with 57 runs. Steven Smith (48 not out) has done well. Glenn Maxwell’s unbeaten 32 off 9 balls made the victory easy. Aaron Finch (15), Alex Carey (10), Marcus Stoinis (19) and Mitchell Marsh (2) are the other players out. Ryan Burn took a wicket for Zimbabwe.
