Meppadi: A five-year-old boy died after he was cut during a dispute between neighbors at Nedumbala Pallikawala. Adidev, son of Jayaprakash, Pallikawala Kommukuk Paraikkal, died. He died while undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
The attack took place around 9 am on Thursday. Jayaprakash’s wife Anila was taking her son Adidev to Anganwadi in Pallikawala Kogimuk Paraikkal when both of them were stabbed on the road. Jayaprakash’s neighbor, friend and business partner was attacked by Jitesh (45) in Pallikawala East Param. Anila was also cut outside the shoulder. Adidev was cut on his left ear. Both Meppadi D.M. He was admitted to Wims Medical College Hospital, but Adi Dev was shifted to Kozhikode Medical College due to his serious condition. The accused was arrested by the police.
Meppadi SI V.P. Jitesh was arrested under the leadership of Siraj. Jayaprakash and Jitesh were business partners. The police said that it is suspected that a business dispute was behind the attack. The police took Jitesh to the spot and took the evidence. The police have also recovered the knife left behind by Jitesh after killing Anila and Adidev.
