Throw all your clothes off, dangle whatever you want to dangle and only let the sun, salt water and sand touch your skin – for many, that is pure freedom. However, nudity is not allowed everywhere, in some parts of the world it is even forbidden. Places where paradisiacal conditions prevail for nudism have now been listed in a ranking. Among the most beautiful beaches for naturists is one in Germany.
Nicky Hoffman of the Naturist Society, who is also Managing Editor of Nude & Natural magazine, helped compile the World’s Best Nude Beaches & Resorts. “CNN Travel” she shared what makes the perfect beach for naturists: “Soft, smooth sand, a warm sea breeze, gentle waves, and plenty of other naturists make for a great clothing-free beach.”
One of the top nudist beaches is in Germany
In Germany, naturism has a long tradition that goes back at least to the 19th century. In this country it is even said to have been invented. And as is well known, naturism experienced a kind of heyday in the GDR. Nowadays, classic nudism is a bit out of fashion, but being nudity is by no means the case, as it has just been enforced in Berlin that women will be allowed to bathe topless like men in the future. This is now at least partially allowed in other cities such as Göttingen and Hamburg.
But just as some are happy about this emancipatory achievement, others continue to feel provoked by nudity in public spaces. You should take a close look at the ten beaches mentioned in the photo gallery so that you can stay away from them. One of them is on Sylt. At Buhne 16 in Kampen, a section of the beach is reserved for naturists.
