The Governor’s Security Officer has sent a letter of complaint to the Tamil Nadu DGP seeking action against those who threw flags and flagpoles at the Governor’s convoy. In this case, 89 people involved in the black flag struggle have been prosecuted in 5 sections.

Governor’s Security Officer Viswesh B on Mayiladuthurai District regarding the black flag protest that took place when the Governor’s vehicle went off. In a complaint to the DGP, Governor’s Defense Officer Viswesh P. Shastri said that the act was aimed at preventing the Governor from working and that they should be prosecuted under Section 124 of the Indian Penal Code, ie with intent to assault the President or the Governor.

Meanwhile, those arrested for protesting against the governor and detained in a private hall were released last night. Mayiladuthurai police have registered a case against 89 persons under 5 sections including illegal addition, violation of government order and attempt to cause damage.
