The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, and the president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, were at the center of operations in the capital city of Rio de Janeiro.

Lula said it was an important day for Flamengo and said he was fulfilling his promise to give special treatment to Rio de Janeiro.

After the formal, the authorities and the media went to the ceremony to “hand over the keys” to the land, in São Cristóvão.

The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, said that the next step is to survey the land, put together the basic project and request the necessary licenses for the construction of the stadium.
