SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Flávio Bolsonaro deleted a tweet he sent this morning in which he said his father, Jair, will return to Brazil on March 15. In place of the comment, the senator for the PL of Rio de Janeiro apologized and said that the return has not yet been confirmed.
“I apologize for the previous post…. In fact, the return date of our leader @jairbolsonaro on March 15 was likely, but not confirmed yet. As soon as there is a definitive date, he will announce it himself”, wrote the senator on Twitter .
Minutes earlier, the senator had published that “the wait is over! Bolsonaro is coming!” and written that the return would take place on Wednesday of the next week.
Bolsonaro went to the United States at the end of his term as President of the Republic in December without recognizing the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the October election.
In the tweet he removed from the air, Flávio Bolsonaro had written that “we are going to make a strong and responsible opposition”.
