Every weekend, Le Parisien invites you to analyze and decipher the results of the various Ile-de-France clubs. The end of the season is near and there is a stake at all levels. The weekend was fatal to all the teams that played the lead. It started on Friday with the defeats of Red Star (1-2 against Cholet in the 93rd minute) and Versailles at Paris 13 Atletico. In National 2, Fleury lost its leading position in Group B and Racing CFF let go and let Rouen access the National. In National 3, the first two, Aubervilliers and Linas-Montlhéry fell heavily. Finally, in front of 1,500 spectators, the FC 93 Bobigny U19 conceded a draw against Troyes (2-2) on a penalty in the 90th minute…

The poster for the weekend: beaten in Créteil, Fleury is no longer the leader

Fleury is no longer the leader of group B of National 2. Habib Boumezoued’s team lost (2-0, doubled by Sakava Sangola) on Saturday in Créteil, which however had nothing more to play for in this championship.

On Friday, FC 93 Bobigny had lost in Corsica to Furiani. After opening the scoring by Sissako (65th), FC 93 conceded two goals in the last minutes (83rd, 90th + 2). The new leader is therefore Épinal, winner of Belfort (1-0). Épinal therefore passes in front of the two Ile-de-France teams and becomes leader thanks to a better goal average than Fleury. FC 93 Bobigny follows at three points. The FC 93 Bobigny – Épinal match on the penultimate day in 15 days is therefore likely to be decisive.

The disappointment: Racing stalled in the home straight

Two weeks ago, Racing CFF had the opportunity to take the lead in group A of National 2 by receiving Rouen. Saturday evening it was the Normans who nevertheless celebrated their rise to the National. After its draw against Rouen (0-0), Racing lost in the last minutes in Saint-Malo (1-2) then against the reserve of Guingamp (0-1) after having missed a penalty in the first period, this Saturday. Meanwhile, Rouen overthrew Évreux, reduced to 9, by scoring in the final minutes (83rd and 87th, 2-1) in a match played behind closed doors. Racing, now 8 points behind Rouen, therefore stalled in this final stretch. Eighteen years after his demotion (2005), he will not find the National.

For the supporters, the disappointment is equal to the hope that has returned for a few seasons and the arrival of Patrick Norbert as president. But this frustrating outcome will not erase the work of reconstruction accomplished. We must not forget either that Racing was promoted this season and had not played in N2 since 2010… The hardest part is nevertheless likely to begin since many players like Arnold Vula (21 goals) have highlighted and will necessarily be in high demand. In January, the best player of Racing Merwan Ifnaoui had already left for Red Star where he shines in National.

The player of the weekend: Zakaria Belkouche (Sainte-Geneviève)

Disputed in the Loiret in Montargis because of the suspension of the ground of Sainte-Geneviève, the derby between the Essonne team and the Lusitanos Saint-Maur was essential for the maintenance in the group B of National 2. Winner (3-0) , Sainte-Geneviève leaves the red zone (11th, 33 pts) and drags the Lusitanos there (12th, 34 pts). Central defender Zakaria Belkouche scored twice (16th, 90th sp). His first two goals of the season are therefore very important.

Deprived of many players suspended after the incidents against Boulogne, Sainte-Geneviève can rely on the experience of Belkouche, 30, who has 78 matches in National with Créteil where he stayed seven years (2015-2022). He arrived in September in Sainte-Geneviève after having started this season in Thonon-Evian (N2). But after taking a red card on October 1 against Besançon, he was suspended for 8 games.

The reaction: “The images are aberrant, incredible, overwhelming…”, Habib Beye (Red Star)

Beaten Friday by Cholet (1-2) during the 32nd day of National, the Red Star lost the opportunity to take the lead two days from the end. The climb moved away. “This is the story of our season, regrets Habib Beye. Every time we have to switch, we missed the opportunity. If it happens so often, it’s because there are reasons… There’s a lot of naivety about Cholet’s second goal. My boys gave everything, they had such a desire to win this game that sometimes we forget the structure. Even at ten, we were dominant. But forces outside this match also decided otherwise…”

The Red Star coach then showed himself to be very vehement in relation to the refereeing. “There was a player in the game who was completely out of the game. The images are aberrant, incredible, overwhelming… I am looking for how it is possible to be so wrong. As much as I think there is a penalty for Cholet, he remained in an implacable logic of not giving us anything. There is the situation on Benali, on Ndoye, on Fall… We have to swallow this frustration. There are six points left to distribute, we have to go after the ambition we have…”

The number: 6

Already relegated, Paris 13 Atletico ended its National season on a positive note. The Parisians won their 6th victory (1-0, goal from Jason Kikonda) on Friday against a very sad team from Versailles who therefore gave up their last chances of playing the rise in L2 until the end. The penultimate budget of the National, Paris 13 Atletico will have managed to win two derbies, at Red Star in September and therefore Versailles.

The flop: Aubervilliers and Linas-Montlhéry fall heavily.

We repeat it every week. The National 3 championship is incredible. For a few matches, the first three, Aubervilliers, Linas-Montlhéry and Vitry, have not progressed. On Saturday, we again witnessed some rather astonishing results with large successes of bottom-ranking teams against the leaders. Aubervilliers completely went through at home against Les Ulis and lost on a historic 0-5. In the memory of Auber supporters, we had never witnessed such a rout at the Karman stadium…

But Linas-Montlhéry failed to take advantage of it by losing, also heavily to Entente SSG (3-0). Same for Vitry who drew (1-1) at Viry. Two days from the end, it is therefore the status quo. Aubervilliers still has a one-point lead over Linas-Montlhéry and four over Vitry. Drancy who plays Thursday against PSG could even invite himself to the podium if successful.

Among young people: the broken dream of the U19s of FC 93 Bobigny

It was the event of the weekend. The FC 93 Bobigny U19s played a historic qualification for the playoffs against Troyes. For that, they had to beat ESTAC. In front of 1,500 spectators in a melting Auguste-Delaune stadium, Karim Mazeghrane’s players came very close. If they were joined (53rd) after having the entry score by Brayan Futgnia (4th) they were back in front on a goal from Samir Saib (2-1, 85th). But they conceded a penalty in the 90th minute (2-2). At the final whistle, there were tears… Promoted to U19, FC 93 had a wonderful season and finished 3rd in their group. Troyes therefore remains 2nd and will therefore go to Lens in the quarter-finals of the playoffs next Sunday.

“We were in the theme, start strong and open the scoring. Then we had 2-0 balls but we lacked maturity. We thought we had done the hardest part by scoring the 2-1 in the 85th minute. This penalty is the worst scenario … Of course this season has been magnificent and exceptional because we were programmed for maintenance, but in the heat, it hurts, ”sighs Karim Mazeghrane.
