The Federal Aviation Administration took to Twitter to inform passengers about the ongoing disruptions caused by slow-moving thunderstorms. They warned that delays could be expected in the Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast.

In addition to the flight disruptions, heavy rain in the Northeast has led to a flood watch for over 56 million people. Flash floods have been reported in parts of Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Travelers are advised to check with their airlines for the most up-to-date information on flight cancellations and delays, as the situation continues to evolve.
