Delhi: International flight services have been postponed due to the threat posed by Omicron. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced that flights will not resume until January 31. The move comes in the wake of the global situation as Omicron spreads.
International flights, which were suspended in March 2020 due to the Kovid expansion, were earlier scheduled to resume on the 15th of this month with restrictions. But with the spread of Omikron, Prime Minister Narendra Modi directed the Ministry of Civil Aviation to reconsider the decision.

States also opposed the resumption of international services. The decision will be taken only after assessing the situation, the aviation ministry said in a statement. It was finally decided to postpone the resumption of air services today. But there will be no change to the ongoing air bubble services between the countries.
