Flights over Pakistan’s airspace have almost halved amid rising tensions between Islamabad and Tehran.

Day.Az reports that foreign mass media reported on this with reference to sources familiar with the situation in the field of civil aviation.

According to information, 450 flights were registered in the airspace of Pakistan on Thursday, although usually this indicator reaches 700-750 flights.

It was noted that airlines pay the Civil Aviation Authority for flights over Pakistan’s airspace, and the decrease in flights has a negative impact on the country’s revenues.

It should be recalled that on January 16, Iran fired missiles at certain positions in Pakistan. As a result, 2 children died and 3 people were injured. Following this, the Pakistani government recalled its ambassador to Iran and asked the Iranian ambassador not to visit Pakistan. All events between the two countries have been suspended.

It should be noted that on January 17, Pakistan attacked certain positions of Iran. As a result, 10 people died.
