It was around 16.30 that the emergency services were called to the airport. According to the first information, the alarm concerned a smoke development on an aircraft.

– We are on site and investigating, says Millie Ekman, alarm and line operator at the rescue service, at around 16.50.

It was a BRA flight on its way from Gothenburg to Lyon that was forced to turn around and land at Landvetter again.

According to Sara Dahlqvist at BRA’s communications department, the alarm was about a fire extinguisher.

– It was a fire extinguisher that had been triggered. There was no fire, but we always put safety first, says Dahlqvist.
