Yashaswi Sharma, an IIM-Ahmedabad graduate, ordered a very expensive item on Flipkart like millions of users in this Big Billion Days offer sale. But his recent Flipkart order has given him a bittersweet experience. Yashshwi Sharma has been sharing his bitter experience on social media with a photo.
About this, he said, “I ordered a laptop for my father in Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale. But instead of the laptop, my father got detergent soaps. Despite the CCTV evidence, the e-commerce company Flipkart refused to rectify its mistake.” Yashvi Sharma has given more information in the related post, I complained to Flipkart’s customer support that detergent soaps were delivered instead of the laptop.

Open-box delivery means that the buyer has to open the package before the delivery agent brings it and after checking whether the product is correct and undamaged, share the OTP with the specified agent.

Meanwhile, Yashaswi’s post on social media shows that Yashaswi’s father has given the OTP to the delivery agent after receiving the particular package, thinking that he should share it with the delivery agent. I have CCTV evidence of the delivery agent coming and going without inspecting the particular box. He said in his post that the laptop was not inside when he went and unboxed it.

Talked to Flipkart customer support about this to no avail. Yashshvi also mentioned that he shared the post on social media as a last ditch effort to resolve the issue before approaching the consumer forum. He also tagged Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy and Union Minister Piyush Goyal in the post.
