Not everything went according to plan when Florence Pugh (28) and Cillian Murphy (47) threw their clothes in front of the camera.

“Oppenheimer” is about the American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb.
Since its premiere last summer, the film biography has raked in one honor after another – and there will be more.
Cillian Murphy plays the lead role, while Florence Pugh fills the role of his lover, Jean Tatlock.
The camera went on strike
In an interview with Variety says Pugh now about a stage during the recording of a particularly hot scene.
– In the middle of our sex scene, the camera broke down. Nobody knows this, but it is the truth, she explains.
– The camera went on strike while we were both naked, and that was it does not an ideal time.
She describes how she and Murphy tried their best to cover their bodies with their arms.

Director Christopher Nolan (53) is said to have also explained to those involved that the problem had to do with the lighting.
Pugh freely praises both Nolan and the rest of the staff, saying she was grateful for every day at work.
– Everyone on the set was so knowledgeable that it was absolutely crazy. Each and every one was determined that there should not be a single dull moment throughout the film.

The sex scene Pugh talks about has also caused a stir.
Tatlock (Pugh) stops during intercourse and picks up a copy of the “Bhagavad Gita” – one of the most sacred scriptures in Hinduism. She then asks Oppenheimer (Murphy) to read from it.
– Now I have become death, the destroyer of the world, reads the “Oppenheimer” character before they continue intercourse.
This caused groups and politicians with Hindu nationalist views to react, and many demanded the scene be deleted – because they believed the scene was “a disturbing attack on Hinduism”.

The three-hour film, which has Norwegian Trond Fausa Aurvåg (51) in the cast, has run away with several Golden Globe trophies.
“Oppenheimer” also leads the Oscar race with as many as 13 winning chances during the award ceremony in Los Angeles on March 10.
