Who founded Flowers for Society?
Till Jagla is one of the most famous characters on the German sneaker scene. After seven years at New Balance, he spent eleven years at Adidas as “Global Head of Energy,” responsible for brokering partnerships and keeping Adidas sneakers in the spotlight. One of the biggest successes of these years was the Yeezy sneaker. In 2021 he founded his own sneaker brand: Flowers for Society (FFS).
What’s special about FFS?
Anyone who purchases a sneaker from Flowers for Society also receives a non-fungible token (NFT) – a non-exchangeable certificate of ownership for digital goods. The production and owners of the unique items are documented in the blockchain. This gives access to the “Metaverse Community”, or rather the virtual space of the label: the “Garden of Comfort”. This gives owners access rights to exclusive collaborations, limited editions and event invitations. FFS places great importance on sustainability, producing sneakers on demand, using recycled materials and ensuring that no tests have been carried out on animals.
What do you need to know about SEED.ONE Daisy?
SEED.ONE is the first silhouette from FFS. It was launched in November 2021. The pre-sale window remained open for twelve days, after which shoes were produced for each customer. Cost: 200 euros per pair of sneakers. It wasn’t untill four to six months later that customers had the shoe in their hands. the advantage of pre-orders is that you only produce what is required: production is more sustainable. This pre-sale mechanism is still quite unusual in Germany, unlike America. The SEED.ONE Daisy is another take on the silhouette, in an eye-catching multicolor design featuring gray, pink, lilac, white and black.The sneaker is futuristic, the midsole appears to be 3D printed and has a hole pattern. The upper material is made of textile, vegan suede and synthetic. Special Highlight: SEED.ONE Daisy was launched as the world’s first blind drop and is part of the exclusive “7 Gardens” collection.
