Flyers and Rangers Set to Clash with Panarin’s Status in Question
A pivotal matchup between teh Philadelphia Flyers and the new York Rangers is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET, broadcasting on NBCSP and MSG. Both teams are navigating injury concerns as they prepare for this afternoon’s contest.
The Flyers have reshuffled their forward corps. The Rangers will have a choice in net between Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Speedy. Conor Sheary, Urho Vaakanainen, and Jonny Brodzinski are listed as scratches, while Adam Fox (upper body) and adam Edstrom (lower body) are currently injured.
The lack of practice on Friday and the afternoon game schedule mean neither team will hold a morning skate. A senior official stated that Conor Sheary could be a potential replacement if Panarin returns, as it would allow the Rangers to maintain the integrity of their bottom two lines. Sheary previously skated on a line with Trocheck and Miller in St. louis.
