jpnn.com – Deputy Chairman of Commission III DPR RI Ahmad Sahroni appreciated the performance of the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) in eradicating criminal acts of corruption.

In the final note for 2024, the Attorney General’s Office saved state finances which had been deposited into the state treasury amounting to IDR 1.69 trillion.

Head of the Attorney General’s Penkum, Harli Siregar, on Tuesday (31/12), detailed that during 2024 his institution would carry out investigations into 2,316 cases of criminal acts of corruption, investigating 1,589 cases, prosecuting 2,036 cases, and executing 1,836 cases.

The total state losses in 2024 will reach IDR 310.61 trillion and 58 kg of gold, of which around IDR 300 trillion comes from tin cases.

“Appreciation to the Attorney General’s Office for its extraordinary work throughout 2024. Many big cases have been uncovered, starting from tin megacorruption, to the bribery case decided by Ronald Tannur,” said Sahroni in Jakarta, Wednesday (1/1/2025).

Based on this performance, Sahroni encouraged the Attorney General’s Office to maximize the recovery of state losses in corruption cases in 2025.

“However, in 2025, I also ask the Attorney General to be able to maximize the aspect of recovering state losses. Because in fact that is the most important thing,” he said.

The NasDem faction legislator hopes that 2025 will be a turning point in efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia. As Chairman of Commission III, he hopes that all law enforcement agencies can work together.
