Phil Foden played a major role in Manchester City’s league title win last season. Hatnate also received the award for that. The English forward won a total of three Footballer of the Year awards in the 2023-24 season. Notable among these is the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Footballer of the Year award.

Foden won this award by the vote of fellow footballers. He also won the 2023–24 Premier League Footballer of the Year and the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year. Foden scored 19 goals and assisted 8 goals in the season just concluded.

Foden’s shortlist for the PFA Footballer of the Year award is contested by his club teammates Arling Haaland and Rodri. Alongside were Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.

After being recognized as the player of the year, Foden said, ‘Winning this award is something special for me and I am proud and grateful for it. To be recognized like this by fellow professionals (footballers) means a lot and thanks to everyone who voted for me.’

Meanwhile, Chelsea forward Palmer won the PFA Boys Young Player of the Year award. Palmer scored a total of 22 goals in the season just concluded. He was second in the list of highest scorers. Hollander (27 goals) was at the top.
