PIS-PASEP: 2024 salary bonus will start to be paid on February 15th. Calendar runs until August 15th, depending on the anniversary date; 24.5 million workers will benefit.

The payment of PIS/Pasep 2024 salary bonus, relating to the base year 2022, will start on February 15th. The calendar was approved by Codefat (Worker Support Fund Deliberative Council) last Wednesday (13).

The estimate is that around 24.5 million workers will receive the salary bonus, worth a total of R$23.9 billion.

The salary bonus is an annual benefit, worth a maximum of one minimum wage, which is currently R$1,320.

Payment will be according to the beneficiary’s birthday, with payment starting on February 15th, for those born in January, and ending on August 15th, for those born in November and December (see calendar below)

The salary bonus is paid to workers in private companies, who are part of the PIS (Social Integration Program), through Caixa Econômica Federal, and to public administration workers, who are part of the Pasep (Public Servant Assets Formation Program). , by Banco do Brasil.

To be entitled, the worker must have been informed by the employer in Rais (Annual Social Information List) by May 10, 2023 and in eSocial by December 5, 2023. After this date, only in the next financial year.

Information about workers who are or are not entitled to the salary bonus can be consulted, from February 5, 2024, on the digital work card or on the gov.br portal.

What does it take to be eligible?

• Be registered with PIS/Pasep for at least five years, counting from the date of the first connection;
• Have received, from employers who contribute to PIS or Pasep, up to two minimum wages (R$2,640) in monthly remuneration during the period worked;
• Have carried out paid work for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year 2022, considered for calculation; It is
• Have your data from the base year 2022 correctly informed by the employer in Rais (Annual List of Social Information) or in eSocial.
