Today (Monday) the Chief Rebbe of Babov landed in London, England, for a special visit, in preparation for Shabbat Parashat Mishpatim – “Shekelim Shabbat”, in the center of which a gathering Shabbat will be held with the participation of thousands of Chassidim from all over the world.

JDN News learned that the Rabbi of Babov decided to go on a journey, after the heads of the Babov community in London entered his holy residence on the eve of the last Simchat Torah, and submitted a letter on behalf of the Hasidim in London, in which they requested that he come to visit the community.

This is the first time, since his ascension to the throne of the Rebbe, that the Rebbe will conduct the Shabbat in London, since until now the Rebbe only came to visit the city on weekdays, mainly for celebrations at the home of his brother-in-law Rabbi Ben Zion Blum, Hadban of the Rabbi Baal Ha’ah Shlomo’s words from Babov ZIA and Domtz Hasidi in Babov in London.

Last Saturday night, the Hassidim said goodbye to the Rebbe after a Havdalah ceremony at the Hasidic Great Beit Midrash in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. Yesterday, hundreds of Hassidim accompanied the Rebbe as he left his residence on the way to the airport.

During the days of the visit, holy services will be held, where the highlight of the visit will be the inauguration of the house for the “Daughters of Zion” school for the students of the Hasidic seminary in the city, which was built during the last years, and the cost of its construction amounted to millions of pounds.

In the same way, there will also be the ceremony of bringing a Torah into the Beit Midrash of Beit Midrash in the city, to lift up the soul of the Rabbi who has the ‘Debiri Shlomo’ from Babov ZA, alongside the ceremony of laying the corner stone for a new wing of the Beit Midrash in Babov. This is also how the ceremony of pouring the pits for the new mikvah of the Chassidim will take place.

During the days of the visit, the Rebbe will conduct tours of the synagogues and Hasidic institutions in the city. Towards Shabbat, thousands of Hasidic will arrive from all over Europe, the USA, Canada and the USA.
