Following a malfunction in the app: Drivers got stuck outside the luxury car

by time news

Drivers from abroad, who own a Tesla vehicle, complained on social media during Saturday that they were locked out of their cars without the possibility of opening the vehicle via the app.

The Tesla Vehicles app is used by many Tesla owners as a car key, and allows them to open and start Tesla vehicles. The drivers reported that an error message appeared on the mobile device while trying to connect to the app and unlock the vehicle.

One of the users reported that the message that appeared before him reported an error in the attempt to connect to Tesla servers on the part of the app, and even made sure to tag the developer and CEO of the company, Elon Musk.

Musk, despite his senior role at the company, made sure to respond personally to a complaint from a car owner from Seoul in South Korea, and after examining the issue and updating that the malfunction had been addressed, even apologized and tweeted that “we will take steps to ensure it does not happen again.”

It is important to note that apart from the app the electric vehicle can also be unlocked using a key. Apparently the reported drivers relied only on the app and did not have a key either. From another inspection we conducted, it appears that the complainants who reported the malfunction were from abroad, and no similar complaints were recorded in groups in Israel.
