Ahmedabad: A large number of illegal mines are active in the Aravalli range of Haryana. Police DSP Surendra Singh who tried to stop the smuggling of stones from this hill was killed by a truck yesterday.
In this case, constable Kiran Raj was on patrol at 1 o’clock in the morning yesterday in Borsad town of Anand district, Gujarat state. Then Kiran Raj tried to stop the lorry which came suspiciously. But the lorry did not stop and rammed into Raj, who died on the spot. The driver then ran away. The police have registered a case and are investigating. Similarly, Sandhya Dabno, a female police inspector, was engaged in vehicle inspection in Duputana area of Ranchi, Jharkhand. At that time, Sandhya died after being hit by a passing van.
Subsequently, the police seized the vehicle and arrested the driver and are investigating. It is noteworthy that in the last 24 hours, the police have killed 3 people in a row.
